Hospital Procedures

Access to the Epiomic Hospital Procedure data for the USA and European Region is now available

As part of our core Epiomic database offering to healthcare clients, we have now made available on-line through the Epiomic portal (www.epiomic.com) our Hospital Procedure database that covers both the USA and the top 5 European markets. This unique database captures over 750 unique hospital in-patient procedure types in each country.

To make the data easy to search, it has been separated into 15 distinct categories, such as operations on the cardiovascular system, respiratory system and the nervous system, from which you can drill down into the 3 digit ICD-9 procedural code for the specific country or get an aggregate patient total for the top 5 European markets. The data set has been constructed from the most currently available government published procedural data in each country and triangulated, where available, with other local procedural data to yield a robust snap shot of the market potential. Similar to our other Epiomic offerings, the data has been divided by gender and 5 year age cohorts, with 15 year forecast outlook based on the current trends for each procedural category in each market.

What will the database deliver to subscribers?

This information would be a valuable asset to any company that is either developing or marketing a medical device, diagnostic or a therapeutic in the hospital setting for a specific in-patient procedure. It will provide a snap shot of the current and future potential for your healthcare innovation in a particular market.

By combining the procedural data information with our existing Hospital admissions data set, you will gain a further level of insight of the market potential starting with the initial patient admission and subsequent care through their treatment pathway.
